How it works

A few minutes a day, one story at a time

  1. Pick a story at your level

Every text is labeled with a CEFR level, from A1 for beginners upward, plus an honest reading time.

  2. Read side by side

Your new language on one side, yours on the other, lined up sentence by sentence. Glance across only when you need to.

  3. Save words, then review them

Tap a word to save it with its sentence. Short spaced-repetition reviews bring it back just before you’d forget it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from flashcard apps?

You learn words where they live: inside stories, with the translation one glance away. Your flashcards are made from words you chose while reading, and each one keeps its original sentence, so you review meaning in context instead of isolated words.

Which levels are there?

Every story is labeled with a CEFR level, from A1 (beginner) upward. The library currently covers A1 to B2, and AI stories can be generated at any level.

Is it free?

Yes. A free account includes the full library, the side-by-side reader, the dictionary, your Vocabulary Bank and reviews, plus a few AI stories per day. Paralelo Plus, with more AI stories and extras, is in development.

Which languages can I learn?

Spanish and English, in both directions. More languages are planned; you can vote for the next one on this page.

Does it work offline?

Not yet. The web app needs an internet connection. Offline reading is planned for the mobile app.

How is my data used?

Only to run your account: your saved words, reviews and reading progress. We don’t sell personal data or show ads. When you ask for an AI story, we send only your request to the AI provider, and it is not used to train models. The Privacy Policy has the details. Privacy Policy
